The Great Wall of China was built and rebuilt by a number of different Chinese Emperors. The Great Wall of China was originally built to protect the northern Chinese empire from invading enemies. The capital of China is Beijing. Amongst other languages two of the main ones are Mandarin and Yue (Cantonese).
